Let’s Get Messy

The Story

Pour painter working on artwork

Like so many other new businesses, deb's quirky art was founded in 2021 as a pandemic-induced, ‘i’m pulling my hair out in boredom’ hobby. In contrast to those who perfected their sourdough starters, I bravely faced my fears about paint and its ability to memorialize mistakes to create one-of-a-kind art.

My goal is to create pour paintings that speak to individuals and allow them to find art that reflects themselves, their interests, and their imagination.

Having my kitchen table, kid’s bedrooms and my husband's office desk free of canvasses, gallons of paint, and finished paintings would also be nice.

Meet Your Pour Painter, Debbie

Pour painter using blow torch to create acrylic art

When I’m not playing the flute or catching up on the latest Outlander episode, you’ll find me leaning over my kitchen table with paint-covered hands.

I might remind you of a one-year-old who’s just discovered the joy of spaghetti drenched in tomato sauce.

The very act of touching the art I'm creating, immersing myself in it, evokes a therapeutic effect. Similar to a gardener digging into wet soil and feeling the dirt under their nails.

Acrylic pour art is an uncontrollable art.

The colours blend, bubbles appear and paint pours from the canvas' edges. The style gracefully transforms mistakes into captivating images.

This art will infuse your home with spirit, soul, and imagination that speaks to every budget, feeling, and family member.
